Weekly changelog #7

New CDN
This week I migrated Phare from Cloudflare to Bunny.net, it's a reliable content delivery platform with lightning-fast CDN, making the Phare platform even faster than before.
But speed is not the only reason I spent a few days to migrate to Bunny.net, they're more importantly a European Union company, based in Slovenia, the same country where Phare is incorporated 🇪🇺🇸🇮.
This migration is part of our effort to rely as much as possible on European provider and assure maximum privacy to our users.
Statamic
The need for a content management system started to grow over the week with new pages being created, and the documentation being scheduled to early May. I did a small benchmark and went with Statamic. All the non-authenticated pages got wired to the CMS, and this changelog entry is the first one to be written on Statamic's control panel.
Billing overage management
One feature was missing in the billing cycle released last week, managing overage, which occurs when your organization consumes more events than allowed in its subscription plan. You will now receive two emails, when 90% and 100% of your monthly allowed quota has been used. A free overage of 10 additional percent is offered before your account get locked until the next billing period, or until you subscribe or upgrade your plan.
Yes, I did lock my own account when this feature got released in production 🤦♂️
